Dr. Andrea Gilstrap - Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Andrea Gilstrap graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.

Dr. Gilstrap grew up in upstate NY, and attended Binghamton University for her undergraduate education. After veterinary school at Michigan State University, Dr. Gilstrap spent a year completing an internship program at Oradell Animal Hospital in NJ. She then moved south and has been practicing at Hillcrest Animal Hospital since 2015.

Dr. Gilstrap’s special interests include internal medicine, feline medicine and emergencies. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is the long term relationship built over the years with clients and their pets. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and providing consistent care. She especially loves her kitty patients and Cavalier Spaniels!

In her free time, she enjoys photography and crafting. She lives with her husband Joe, 2 daughters Adalynn and Maisy, and their pets- 2 dogs (a mixed breed and French bulldog), and 3 cats.
