Dr. Andrea Gilstrap graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Gilstrap grew up in Orange County, New York, and attended Binghamton University in upstate NY for her undergraduate education. After veterinary school, Dr. Gilstrap spent a year completing a competitive internship program in general/specialty medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. Afterward, she ventured down south and practiced general medicine in northeast Georgia, while doing some emergency work on the side.
Dr. Gilstrap's interests include emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, and dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys painting, arts and crafts, and tap dancing. She lives with her husband Joe, daughter, Adalynn, and their pets- a mixed breed dog named Cody, a French Bulldog named Bruno, two black cats, Bergen and Nollee, and an orange tabby, Lenny.
