Dr. Katy Bailey graduated from Oklahoma State University with her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2014.
Dr. Bailey's desire to become a veterinarian began in her childhood where she grew up in northwest Indiana on her family's farm. Katy was very active in the 4-H program and completed her undergraduate at Purdue University in Animal Sciences. Before joining Hillcrest Animal Hospital, she practiced in northeast and middle Tennessee in both mixed and small animal exclusive practices. Dr. Bailey is excited to call the Upstate home after following her love for the outdoors and her childhood friends here.
Dr. Bailey focuses on providing compassionate care and developing lasting relationships with her clients and patients. She enjoys most every aspect of general practice, especially client education and helping owners effectively manage their pet's long-term health conditions.
Dr. Bailey loves all things outdoors and also volunteers in her community through Meals on Wheels. Her roommates include Hank (a heeler mix,) Sebe (a dachshund mix,) Wally (an orange tabby,) and Spunky (a tortoise shell.)
